Lenovo laptops are fast becoming some of my favorites thanks to a combination of subtle design (compared to some ugly gaming laptops, at least) and sheer performance backed up by a capable cooling system. Considering the pairing of a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX CPU and RTX 4080 laptop GPU, dropping the price to almost $2,000 feels almost like a mistake, but it's not.

A 240Hz screen actually makes sense since the high-end components are genuinely capable of hitting framerates close enough to its maximum if you stick to the native 2560 x 1600 resolution or even 1080p with DLSS upscaling thanks to the RTX 40 Series graphics card. 32GB of DDR5 RAM is more than most would ever need, so there's no danger of memory issues either.

1TB of solid-state storage is enough for any game, but Thunderbolt 4 support in its USB-C port means the fastest external storage drives can back up your installations in a flash. There isn't much the Legion Pro 7i can't do, backed up by an integrated AI chip for intelligent power and thermal management. What a steal.

It's a little more overkill than the hugely popular Ryzen 5 5600X, but I sprang for the 5800X mostly because of the discount. Our 5800X review said the same at launch, but now that it's enjoying a hefty discount for Prime Day, the value has improved by a considerable amount.

Coming close to $200 makes it affordable for a powerful gaming PC. I'm replacing a previous-gen AMD Ryzen 5 2600 in my own machine, and while I technically don't need to upgrade my AM4 motherboard, it's part of a general overhaul since there are so many savings to be had. Still, if you're replacing a similar AM4-compatible CPU, you can save even more cash by sticking with the same motherboard and RAM.

The official Xbox Series X|S storage solution from Seagate is a massive 41% off for Amazon Prime Day, finally making the pricey storage option far more affordable. 

These nifty cards are based on the CFExpress standard typically used for high-end cameras and seamlessly add to your Xbox's storage pool without any further configuration. The downside is that they're typically more expensive than a standard M.2 NVME you'd slap in your laptop. Thanks to Amazon Prime Day, though, you can net yourself a sizeable saving here.  

The 1TB solution will hold anywhere between 10 large or 30 smaller games, and with titles like Mortal Kombat 1 clocking in at over 100 GB these days, having the extra storage can save you from having to micromanage your library.

Samsung had a legitimate reason to make its microSD cards the best they could be when producing hundreds of smartphones and tablets designed to use them.

Available in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, all models are discounted for October Prime Day. The middle ground of 256GB is the sweet spot for most use cases, including a strong recommendation as the best SD card for Steam Deck and other PC gaming handhelds.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600G | was $259 now $132.40 at Amazon

AMD's 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen APU is an absolute steal at this price. Not only is the CPU part capable of delivering excellent performance, but the killer feature is a surprisingly capable integrated Radeon GPU that is actually capable of playing some games pretty well. The CPU cores are unlocked, so you can tweak them, and with only a 65W TDP, it's pretty efficient, too.

QNAP TR-004 4-bay DAS enclosure + 4 x 4TB Seagate Ironwolf HDD bundle | was $599 now $533 at Amazon

If you need a complete setup, this bundle containing a 4-bay QNAP enclosure pre-configured with four Seagate 4TB Ironwolf drives in RAID 5 is a great place to start. This is a DAS (Direct Attached Storage) rather than a NAS, so it needs to connect to a PC, but it can also be used to expand the storage of an existing QNAP NAS.
